There are studies that have been done on how one can stay motivated and how to change your lifestyle, and then there are testimonials. I prefer to read or hear about someone’s personal experiences over reviewing statistics-for me… it’s just more motivating, it gets me thinking, “if she can do it, so can I!” One of the best things that ever happened to me was landing a job at a gym when I was 17. I met new friends who were personal trainers, aerobics instructors, and nutritionist-- they began to educate me on lifting techniques and how to use the equipment in the gym properly; this all perked my interests in working out and developing healthy eating habits. By the time I was 20, I was an AFAA Certified Aerobics Instructor.
