A Touch of Epiphany

" W hether you think you can, or you think you can't -- your right." ~ Henry Ford Throughout the years I have heard of people experiencing an "Epiphany", or otherwise known as that, "Ah-Huh" moment, but it wasn't until recently have I experienced my own "Ah-huh" moments... or at least it wasn't until recently where I actually paid attention to them... Probably like many woman, I have a tendency to read into the details - to over analyze what "is" when in fact what is, is what it shall be.  So whats the use?   I've seen or read things in the past that perhaps made me upset in some way, but as corny as it will sound, I found that the more love and happiness I put towards whatever it was that was upsetting me, begins to subside and no longer has a negative effect on my emotions.   Perhaps wishing nothing but happiness towards someone you may be mad at, or appreciating your surroundings no matter how much ...

NUMBER ONE

Many people can't seem to break away from their cell phone when there with family, friends, significant others...etc.  I'm not saying that - that's wrong or right, but I will say when I'm with someone (one-on-one), I indirectly tell you - you are worthy of my undivided attention.  In that moment, nothing is more important then what you have to say - I'm not pulling my phone out every two minutes to see what I'm missing out on.  Now I wonder...if I know how to give someone else that type of courtesy, shouldn't I be smart enough to know I deserve it to? Of course my example of the "cell phone" is extremely general, and strictly opinion, but when you look at the big picture, the undisputed facts are that people pay attention to what they want and people will always put what they want first and you deserve to be number one . If what you want is love, don't ever expect it to come from someone where you will always be number 2, 3...or however ...

Winning Failures

“We are all failures- at least the best of us are.”  ―  J.M. Barrie It's funny how letting go of certain fears and "blocks" can bring you to a more accepting, creative, and positive frame of mind; it's like being able to see the bottom of the ocean after the waves have calmed... Not to say those who "win" gain nothing, but those who have lost, gain much more when they can actually defeat the "loss."  It takes much courage, determination, and heart for someone to rise above when their hopes have been spiritually bruised. These are the ones that have the great stories, make great examples, and become the great inspirations. (i.e. Walt Disney, Lucille Ball, Dr. Seuss) In the past, I have won and it felt great. I loved the attention, and the praise for my victory and hard work.  I have also lost, wept, and let myself feel inferior in some of my endeavors.  The "win" was my " high" the "loss" was my "...

Quote for the Day

"Humility is not denying your strengths; humility is being honest about your weakness" - Pastor Warren

God Never Waists a Hurt

I came across something I thought could be interesting to some readers…. According to Pastor Rick Warren, he says that there are five things that “SHAPE” a person, they are: SPIRITUAL-   What is your gift?  Everyone is gifted to do something! HEART- What do I love?  We all have different passions. ABILITY-                    What is my natural inclination?  Some people are really good with money, animals, people…etc.                            PERSONALITY-         Some people enjoy routine or variety…this will depend on our purpose. EXPERIENCES-         Vocational   Family- good and bad Educational- what we learn at school Spiritual                       ...
